You
were just skiing off by yourself when you realized: It's
getting
dark, the temperature is dropping, snow falling is covering your
tracks, You don't know where you are, You don't know
which
way to go ... now what?Ask yourself: does anybody know I am out here?
What do I have on me to help me through a cold, snowy night?

You must manage risk with
consideration for: 1.
Safety - don't do something stupid and kill yourself
2. Shelter - find shelter immediately.
3.Water - remain hydrated. Small amounts of compressed snow
will melt in your mouth.
3. Signals - how can I make myself easier to find?
4. Sox - keep your insulation dry
5. Food - You can live days without food, but in cold weather you must
replace calories lost to stay warm. Inner bark of hardwoods will keep
you alive.
